Description

A delightful fusion of Thai tea and classic Rice Krispie treats, bringing together sweet and subtly spiced flavors in a quick and easy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed Thai tea, cooled
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Gather all your ingredients and a 9×9-inch baking pan. Lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt the butter and marshmallows: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows. Stir gently until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Infuse with tea: Add the brewed, cooled Thai tea to the mixture, along with condensed milk. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Add Rice Krispies: Remove from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Spread and set: Pour the mixture into the greased pan, using a spatula to evenly spread it out. Don’t press too hard; you want to keep that delightful crunch.
  6. Allow to cool: Let the mixture set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until firm. Once set, cut them into squares.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, swap butter with coconut oil or vegan butter and use dairy-free marshmallows. Chai tea can be used in place of Thai tea for a different flavor.
