Description
A quick and delicious salmon dish featuring a sweet and savory brown sugar soy glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Salmon Fillets (skin-on preferred)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (low-sodium for a lighter dish)
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 2 Green Onions (finely sliced)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove salmon from the marinade and place skin-side down in the skillet, cooking for about 4 minutes without moving it.
- Flip the salmon, add the reserved marinade to the pan, and baste the fish. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
For added freshness, try a dash of lemon juice before serving. Avoid over-marinating to prevent excess saltiness.
