Description
A delightful and comforting blend of matcha and chocolate, perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups milk (any type)
- 2 tablespoons sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or sugar)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, gently heat your milk over medium-low heat until warm (but not boiling).
- While the milk is warming, whisk together the matcha powder and cocoa powder in a separate bowl, using a fine-mesh sieve to avoid clumps.
- Mix in your chosen sweetener with the dry ingredients.
- Once the milk is warm, slowly pour it into the bowl with the dry mixture, whisking continuously until fully combined and frothy.
- Pour the hot chocolate into your mug, and add whipped cream and a dusting of matcha or cocoa on top if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider a splash of vanilla extract or a sprinkle of sea salt. A dollop of whipped cream makes it indulgent.
