- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup whole roasted almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and whole almonds.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
