Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let them cool completely before decorating with icing.
