Description

Delightful and chewy cookies infused with the flavors of fresh apple cider, warm spices, and a hint of sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a larger bowl, beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg followed by the apple cider until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, stirring until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of vanilla extract or finely chopped walnuts. Avoid overmixing the dough for tender cookies.
