  • Five Spice Powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional spices.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a resealable bag or bowl, coat with marinade, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Prepare for Roasting: Place the marinated chicken on a roasting rack inside a baking dish.
  5. Roast the Chicken: Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
