Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Medjool dates
- 6 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 oz creamy goat cheese
- 2 tbsp honey
- Chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If the dates have pits, make a small slit and remove the pit.
- In a bowl, mix the goat cheese until creamy.
- Fill each date with about a teaspoon of goat cheese.
- Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap around each stuffed date, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is golden and crispy.
- Drizzle with honey before serving.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the bacon-wrapped dates in balsamic vinegar before baking. Use parchment paper to help with cleanup and crispiness.
