Description

Delicious bite-sized appetizers featuring sweet dates wrapped in crispy bacon, filled with creamy goat cheese and drizzled with honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Medjool dates
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 4 oz creamy goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If the dates have pits, make a small slit and remove the pit.
  3. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese until creamy.
  4. Fill each date with about a teaspoon of goat cheese.
  5. Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap around each stuffed date, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is golden and crispy.
  8. Drizzle with honey before serving.
  9. Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the bacon-wrapped dates in balsamic vinegar before baking. Use parchment paper to help with cleanup and crispiness.
