- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Milk (or a dairy alternative)
- 1/4 cup Butter (melted, or coconut oil)
- 2 medium Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, diced)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp Milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard donut pan with cooking spray or melted butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the sugar, melted butter, milk, and diced apples. Stir until fully combined.
- Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool for about 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk, then drizzle over warm donuts.
- Enjoy warm with coffee or tea!
Notes
For a delightful twist, consider adding a drizzle of caramel or chocolate on top of the glaze.
