  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl, leaving some chunks for texture.
  3. Melt the chopped chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave until smooth.
  4. Combine the melted chocolate with the mashed bananas, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until glossy.
  5. Add sugar to taste, balancing the sweetness.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, until slightly set.
