- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 8 oz chocolate (dark or milk), chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for coating
Instructions
- Prepare the Bananas: Start by mashing the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- Melt the Chocolate: Gently melt the chocolate over simmering water or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring.
- Mix in the Cream: Stir in the heavy cream and butter into the melted chocolate, blending until smooth.
- Combine: Fold the mashed bananas into the chocolate mixture gently.
- Add the Sugar: Gradually add powdered sugar until the desired sweetness and consistency are reached.
- Chill: Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about two hours until firm.
- Roll into Balls: Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion out and roll the mixture into small balls.
- Coat with Cocoa: Roll each truffle in cocoa powder and place them on a plate.
- Final Chill: Pop the coated truffles back into the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
- Enjoy and Share: Serve directly from the fridge.
Notes
Make sure to use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. You can substitute heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
