  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 8 oz chocolate (dark or milk), chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bananas: Start by mashing the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Gently melt the chocolate over simmering water or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring.
  3. Mix in the Cream: Stir in the heavy cream and butter into the melted chocolate, blending until smooth.
  4. Combine: Fold the mashed bananas into the chocolate mixture gently.
  5. Add the Sugar: Gradually add powdered sugar until the desired sweetness and consistency are reached.
  6. Chill: Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about two hours until firm.
  7. Roll into Balls: Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion out and roll the mixture into small balls.
  8. Coat with Cocoa: Roll each truffle in cocoa powder and place them on a plate.
  9. Final Chill: Pop the coated truffles back into the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
