Description

A hearty and comforting dish of tender beef and savory noodles in a rich broth, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced sirloin or flank steak
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, snap peas)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain and prepare vegetables.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat. Sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant (2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the sliced beef and sear for 2-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and toss in the chopped vegetables. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  5. In a separate pot, boil water and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions (5-7 minutes). Drain.
  6. Once the beef is cooked through, add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with mushrooms and tofu. Use zucchini noodles instead of egg noodles for a healthier alternative.
