  • 8 oz pasta (fusilli or penne)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil and parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onion turns soft and translucent.
  3. Introduce ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
  4. Meanwhile, boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water.
  5. Add bell peppers to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
  6. Stir in tomato sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Drain pasta and add to the skillet, mixing everything together and adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes
