Description
A hearty and flavorful Beef and Pepper Pasta Skillet that brings warmth and joy to any family gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or rotini)
- 2 bell peppers (red, yellow, and green)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Begin by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil, then add your pasta. Cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until translucent. Toss in the bell peppers and sauté until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Brown the Beef: Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef (or sliced steak). Allow it to brown, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Once the beef is cooked, mix everything in the skillet and pour in a splash of broth. Add the cooked pasta, tossing until coated.
- Finish and Garnish: Let it simmer for a few more minutes. Before serving, sprinkle freshly chopped herbs on top.
- Serve: Plate it up and enjoy with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
