Description

Delightful Berry Puff Pastry featuring a buttery, flaky crust filled with a medley of fresh summer berries.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 cups fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine berries, sugar, and cornstarch. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry to 1/8 inch thick and trim edges.
  4. Transfer pastry to a parchment-lined baking sheet and spoon berry mixture into the center.
  5. Fold corners of the pastry towards the center and pinch to seal. Brush with melted butter and egg wash.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for added creaminess.
