Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or brisket in a heavy pot over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, and a sprinkle of salt; let bloom for a minute.
  4. Mix in diced tomatoes and beef broth, bringing to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more chili powder or hot sauce as desired.
