- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté chopped onions in olive oil until golden, then stir in minced garlic and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onions and garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until combined, then shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
- Mix ketchup and brown sugar for the glaze, then brush over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use higher-fat meat for moisture. Don’t skip resting the meatloaf before slicing for maximum juiciness.
