Description

A creamy and flavorful pasta salad inspired by the classic Big Mac, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni or fusilli
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup pickles, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded or cubed
  • 2 cups lettuce, chopped (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped (red or yellow)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and cool.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat and let it cool.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and vinegar. Adjust to taste.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cooked beef, chopped lettuce, pickles, and onion. Pour the dressing over and gently fold to coat.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve chilled, garnished with additional cheese and pickles if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground beef with ground turkey or a plant-based protein. Use different cheeses for variations in flavor.
