Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a mini muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store for later!

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free flour blend. To make it vegan, replace eggs with flax eggs and use non-dairy milk and butter.
