Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a mini muffin pan with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar until combined.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store for later!
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free flour blend. To make it vegan, replace eggs with flax eggs and use non-dairy milk and butter.
