  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. <li:Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla and almond extracts.

  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped cherries.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are still soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
