A delightful combination of sweet pineapple and zesty black pepper with tender beef, perfect for any gathering or family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Cut beef into bite-sized pieces and chop pineapple. Mince garlic.
  2. Marinate the Beef: Mix soy sauce, honey, and garlic in a bowl. Add beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the Skillet: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the Beef: Remove beef from marinade and cook in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Sauté the Pineapple: In the same skillet, add pineapple and sauté for 3-4 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Combine and Season: Return beef to skillet, add black pepper, and toss to combine. Cook for an additional minute.
  7. Serve: Transfer to a platter and garnish with green onions or cilantro.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with mushrooms or jackfruit. Best enjoyed hot off the skillet.
