- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup malted milk powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Slice strawberries and sprinkle with sugar and brandy. Let sit.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add heavy cream and mix gently until just combined.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat into a rectangle, and cut out biscuits.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Whip heavy cream with malted milk powder and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Assemble shortcakes: Slice biscuits, layer with strawberries and syrup, then top with whipped cream.
Notes
