Description

A delightful and easy-to-make breakfast treat featuring sausages wrapped in flaky dough, perfect for family gatherings and brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Mini breakfast sausages or cocktail franks
  • Crescent roll dough (or puff pastry/biscuit dough)
  • 1 egg (beaten with a splash of water for egg wash)
  • Garlic powder, onion powder, or your favorite herbs (for seasoning)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the dough and separate it into triangles. For biscuit dough, flatten each biscuit slightly.
  3. Prepare the sausages, allowing them to cool if cooked in advance or use pre-cooked sausages.
  4. Roll the sausages tightly in the dough starting from the wider end of the triangle.
  5. Place them on the baking sheet, leaving space in between each.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt or herbs, if desired.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure dough is cold before rolling for a flaky texture. Avoid overstuffing to maintain even cooking.
