  • 1 cup chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it starts bubbling.
  2. Stir continuously until the butter turns a beautiful amber color and releases a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour in the cooled brown butter and mix until well combined.
  5. Add the flour and stir until just blended, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  7. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop the dough onto the sheet, shaping it into balls and gently flattening them.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are crisp.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  11. For an extra touch, sprinkle coarse sea salt on top as they cool.
