- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter. Microwave for about 30 seconds, then stir. Continue in 10-second intervals until melted and smooth.
- Let the mixture cool for a moment, then stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sift in flour and salt, folding gently until just combined.
- If desired, stir in chocolate chunks, nuts, or mint chips.
- Transfer the mix into a greased or parchment-lined microwave-safe dish, smoothing the surface.
- Microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, checking after 1 minute for a slightly puffed appearance.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm with ice cream or chocolate syrup if desired.
