Description

Delightful buttery cookies dusted in powdered sugar, featuring toasted pecans for a melt-in-your-mouth treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped and toasted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly add the flour, salt, and finely chopped pecans to the mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll them into balls, placing them two inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until just set but not browned.
  7. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, replace all-purpose flour with almond flour. Ensure the pecans are toasted for maximum flavor.
