Description

A delightful twist on pizza that combines savory and sweet flavors with crushed candy canes for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 1 cup tomato sauce (or white sauce)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup, crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  3. Evenly spread the tomato sauce over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top of the sauce.
  5. Crush candy canes using a ziplock bag and a rolling pin.
  6. Scatter the crushed candy canes over the cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.

Notes

For a twist, use barbecue sauce instead of tomato sauce or try using peppermint extract if candy canes aren’t available.
