- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Gradually mix in the flour and cornstarch on low speed, being careful not to overmix.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and crushed candy canes, mixing gently to combine.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden; tops should remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate if desired.

Ensure butter is adequately softened for best results. Cool cookies completely before decorating.
