Description

A warm and sweet Caramel Hot Chocolate, perfect for cozy autumn mornings and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped or cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Pour your choice of milk into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until it’s warm but not boiling.
  2. Add chopped dark chocolate or cocoa powder to the warm milk. Stir consistently until the chocolate is melted and fully incorporated.
  3. Drizzle in caramel sauce and stir until blended. Taste and adjust sweetness with sugar if desired.
  4. Stir in a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavors.
  5. Pour the Caramel Hot Chocolate into mugs, top with whipped cream, and drizzle with extra caramel. Add cocoa powder or crushed candy cane for decoration.

Notes

Keep the heat moderate to prevent scalding the milk. Stir continuously for the best texture and flavor.
