Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and melted butter until smooth. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together, then gradually add to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Fill each donut mold halfway with batter. Add a spoonful of caramel sauce into the center, then top with more batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean (avoid touching the caramel).
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Drizzle with extra caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
