- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce (for filling)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
- Pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity halfway.
- Place a teaspoon of caramel sauce in the center of each donut cavity.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for a minute before transferring to a wire rack and enjoy!
Notes
For gluten-free donuts, substitute almond flour for all-purpose flour. If you prefer a lower-fat option, you can use applesauce in place of butter.
