- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, or parsley)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken, add minced garlic and herbs to the same pan, cooking until fragrant.
- Dice cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, mixing in the cheese until it starts to melt.
- Roll out the pastry, cut into desired shapes, spoon the chicken mixture onto half, fold over, and seal the edges with a fork.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
Notes
For a lighter option, you can use phyllo dough or add vegetables to the chicken mixture.
