Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 bag frozen french fries (crinkle-cut or steak fries)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking apart with a spatula. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the ground beef mixture evenly, layer the frozen french fries on top, and sprinkle shredded cheese generously over fries.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the fries are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and serve with sides like coleslaw or cucumber salad.
