A comforting and cheesy Chicken Alfredo bake that’s perfect for family gatherings, featuring creamy Alfredo sauce and tender chicken.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups boneless chicken (breast or thighs), diced
  • 3 cups penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Olive oil, for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil salted water and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté diced chicken in olive oil over medium heat until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in cream cheese, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese, whisking until smooth.
  5. Combine cooked pasta, sautéed chicken, and Alfredo sauce in a mixing bowl. Add fresh herbs and stir until well coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with mushrooms or zucchini. Let the cream cheese soften before whisking for a smoother sauce.
