Description
Delicious jumbo pasta shells filled with chicken and creamy Alfredo sauce, baked to perfection with melted cheese.
Ingredients
- Jumbo pasta shells
- Cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
- Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Ricotta cheese
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh minced garlic
- Fresh herbs (basil or parsley)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the pasta shells in salted water for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, ricotta, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. Mix until well combined.
- If making Alfredo sauce from scratch, melt butter in a skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and grated Parmesan, stirring until it thickens slightly.
- Generously fill each shell with the chicken mixture and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Drizzle half of the Alfredo sauce over the shells.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs on top before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Cream cheese can substitute ricotta if needed.
