Description
A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté on low for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
- Add chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and fresh herbs, and let it simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it soak up the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately with the sauce spooned over the chicken and garnish with additional herbs.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt. You can also add red pepper flakes for some heat.
