  • Author: sara

Description

A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté on low for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and fresh herbs, and let it simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it soak up the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve immediately with the sauce spooned over the chicken and garnish with additional herbs.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt. You can also add red pepper flakes for some heat.
