Description

A heartwarming tradition that captures the spirit of the holidays with delicious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for better flavor and texture. Use an ice cream scoop for uniform cookies.
