- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for better flavor and texture. Use an ice cream scoop for uniform cookies.
