Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spread the dough into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and slice into bars.
Notes
Try adding nuts or using dark chocolate chips for a richer taste. These bars can be frozen for up to three months.
