Scale
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg

- Line a muffin tray with two cupcake liners and fill them about two-thirds full with the batter.

- Allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Frost as desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, try adding a dash of espresso or using brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. You can also substitute non-dairy milk if needed.
