Description

Delightful layers of tart cranberry and creamy cheese in festive cups, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. If using fresh cranberries, rinse and cook with a bit of sugar and water until they pop and thicken into a sauce. Let it cool completely. If using canned, stir to break up lumps.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, blending until creamy.
  3. Crush graham crackers in a ziplock bag or food processor until fine.
  4. Layer the crushed graham crackers at the bottom of each cup, then spoon in a layer of the cream cheese mixture, followed by cranberry sauce. Repeat layers until cups are filled, finishing with whipped topping on top.
  5. Refrigerate the trifle cups for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for cream cheese, or add orange zest to the cranberries for a twist.
