Description
Delightful layers of tart cranberry and creamy cheese in festive cups, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup graham crackers, crushed
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- If using fresh cranberries, rinse and cook with a bit of sugar and water until they pop and thicken into a sauce. Let it cool completely. If using canned, stir to break up lumps.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, blending until creamy.
- Crush graham crackers in a ziplock bag or food processor until fine.
- Layer the crushed graham crackers at the bottom of each cup, then spoon in a layer of the cream cheese mixture, followed by cranberry sauce. Repeat layers until cups are filled, finishing with whipped topping on top.
- Refrigerate the trifle cups for at least two hours before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for cream cheese, or add orange zest to the cranberries for a twist.
