Juicy, sweet, and irresistible, these Christmas Cranberry Meatballs are a holiday favorite that brings family together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, diced onion, and spices.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, combine the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and spices. Simmer over low heat until heated through.
  7. Ladle the cranberry sauce over the meatballs in a serving dish and toss gently to coat.
  8. Serve warm with toothpicks, or alongside rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For best flavor, let the meatballs sit in the cranberry sauce for a few minutes before serving.
