- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 packet Instant Yeast
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Butter, melted
- 1 large Egg
- 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and ground cinnamon. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Stir until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, then let it rise covered in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, roll it out into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before folding and cutting into strips.
- Layer strips into a muffin tin and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over cooled cruffins and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
