Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary
- Optional add-ins: sliced almonds, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice
Instructions
- Wash and trim the ends of the green beans.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add green beans and cook, stirring, for 5-7 minutes until they retain a slight crunch.
- Sprinkle in sugar, salt, and pepper. Add herbs if using.
- Cook for a few more minutes until beans are tender yet vibrant green.
- Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
Avoid overcooking to maintain a tender-crisp texture. High heat during sautéing enhances the flavor.
