Description

A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring juicy shrimp, creamy sauce, and a kick of Cajun spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon juice, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and bell peppers, sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in the cream. Simmer until thickened, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta and add lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, you can substitute shrimp with sautéed mushrooms or seasoned tofu.
