Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
- Melt butter (and olive oil if using) in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and scallops to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until opaque.
- Whisk in heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes. Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper, stirring until thickened.
- Toss the drained pasta with the sauce; add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Fold in chopped herbs before serving. Garnish with additional Parmesan and fresh parsley.
Notes
For lighter options, substitute half-and-half for cream. Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta as needed. Fresh garlic is preferred for the best flavor.
