Ingredients

- 1 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated horseradish or prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- If using fresh horseradish, peel the root and grate it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream with prepared horseradish, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth.
- Taste and add salt and pepper gradually, mixing well.
- Let the sauce chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite dishes, such as grilled meats or as a dipping sauce.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. Fresh herbs can be added for extra flavor.
