- 1 cup orzo
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the orzo in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in the fresh spinach and sauté until wilted, about 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the cooked orzo to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan until melted. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Be careful not to overcook the orzo. Freshly grated Parmesan will provide the best flavor.
