- 8 oz egg noodles
- 2 cans tuna, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 8 oz sautéed mushrooms
- 1 cup frozen peas or corn
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic and sliced mushrooms until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, combine drained tuna, sautéed mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, peas or corn, and season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Fold in the cooked egg noodles until well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish, top with breadcrumbs and drizzle with melted butter if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and the top is golden.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or mustard for enhanced flavor. Ensure not to overcook the noodles.
