- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and melted butter. Gradually add to dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan to 360°F.
- Roll chilled dough to ½-inch thickness, cut out donuts with a cutter.
- Fry donuts a few at a time until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each side.
- Drain on paper towels.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and sugar until caramel forms. Fill each donut with caramel.
- Top with desired glaze.
Notes
Be careful with oil temperature to avoid greasy donuts. Chilling the dough is essential for good texture.
