- 1 cup creamy gravy (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.
- Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant, then add to the crockpot.
- Layer the chicken in the crockpot, followed by the sautéed vegetables and garlic. Pour the gravy mix or homemade gravy over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Serve whole or shred the chicken in the pot. Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or bread.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
For a thicker gravy, remove chicken and add a cornstarch slurry to the gravy, cooking until thickened.
